About the role
Therapy Assistants work alongside Occupational Therapists to support clients in achieving goals identified through their individual therapy programs.
Every day is different, but depending on your experience, training and the needs of the people we support, the role may include:
supporting clients to practise everyday living skills
implementing therapy programs developed by an Occupational Therapist
assisting people to build confidence and independence within their home and community
supporting community access and participation
assisting with home rehabilitation programs
setting up, trialling or supporting the use of equipment and assistive technology
providing feedback and progress updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the wider team.
Every Therapy Assistant works under the supervision and delegation of an Occupational Therapist, with responsibilities tailored to your skills, experience and demonstrated competency.

Our work is community based, with Therapy Assistants supporting clients in their homes and within the community across metropolitan Perth and selected regional areas.
